What is a Mutual Exchange?
A Mutual Exchange occurs when tenants living in 2 or more separate properties decide they wish to swap homes. Mutual Exchanges will be considered between Co-operative tenants or between a Co-operative tenant and a Council tenant or a Housing Association tenant.
Tenants First are part of apply4homes which is a House Exchange website which has been designed to bring tenants together who live in Aberdeenshire and Moray who are looking to swap their homes. You can also search for tenants who live in Aberdeen City or other parts of the UK if you are considering moving from your local area.
Please remember to carefully inspect the condition of any property you view, as you will sign to accept the condition of the property as viewed, with the exception of essential repairs. We would advise you to visit a property more than once and at different times of the day.
