Spirit of Volunteering
Your chance to win a digital camera
Grampian Opportunities (GO) is running a photography competition.
They want to inspire you to get creative and think about different ways to represent the Spirit of Volunteering
The challenge is to submit photos that they can use to help promote the spirit of volunteering. This allows photographers and volunteers to recognise what they value in their organisation or within the community and may:
a) Promote the role of volunteering
or
b) Highlight the diversity of volunteering - both in the range of opportunities and the diversity of people contributing as volunteers.
The aim of the competition is to recognise and showcase the benefit of volunteer effort by encouraging people to submit photos that “GO” can use to raise awareness of the diverse range of volunteering opportunities, and the organisations which offer volunteering opportunities.
One winner will be selected from each category under 16 and over 16 years of age.
Your image may show a volunteer in action or demonstrate the impact that volunteering can have on others.
Where individuals do not have access to a camera, a budget will fund a limited number of disposable cameras on a first come first served basis.
It is a condition of entry that (a) any photograph submitted can be used for promotional purposes by Grampian Opportunities and Volunteer Centres (b) that you make sure that you have permission before taking photographs of individuals and they are informed of the GO photography competition rules and (c)
GO are unable to return any competition entries.
Please send all entries to info@grampianopportunities.org.uk
with the subject title of Photography competition. Attach your picture and then state your name and contact details, which category you are entering, a title and description of your entry.
