The co-operative has entered a new four
year Painterwork agreement with MITIE property services. All of our
properties will be painted during this time. The agreement is a
'partnering' agreement (one of the first of its type in Scotland).
The advantage of the agreement is that
all the parties involved, Tenants First, the painters, and the paint
supplier continually assess the condition of all our properties and paint
what is needed when it is needed. The painting is then guaranteed by the
paint supplier and by MITIE. Another advantage is that the work can be
spread out throughout the year, whenever the weather is suitable,
preventing the summer rush.
The results to date have been good, and
feedback from tenants shows that they are very happy with the results.
