Ballater Development Wins Award

Tenants First Housing Co-operative are delighted that the Ballater development has recently received an "Award for Excellence" from the Tayside Grampian and Fife forum of Housing Associations. To let all our tenants see what all the fuss is about we have given them a copy of a DVD which was made about the development.

The five three-bedroom homes are wheelchair accessible and innovative off-site Dutch construction methods were used with an emphasis on quality and energy efficiency.

ASSIST Project Available To Tenants

We are pleased to be able to advise you of a new service for our tenants. The Assist Project is an independent, confidential housing support service for tenants of Tenants First Housing Co-operative & Grampian Housing Association.  

The aim of the service is to help and support tenants to deal with any issues that may be making it difficult for them to keep their tenancy. This could include things like Housing Benefit claims, rent arrears, family problems or health issues. 

Referrals will normally come from housing staff, but tenants can refer themselves directly. The project has two full-time support workers. When a tenant is referred to the service a support worker will carry out an assessment. A housing support plan will then be drawn up which will address any issues that are causing problems or concerns.
