Homechoice is
running a pilot exercise in Choice Based Lettings on behalf of, Aberdeen
City Council, Castlehill Housing Association, Grampian Housing Association
and Langstane Housing Association.
This is a new way of letting homes which
originates from Holland. Homes in four areas of the City will be
advertised every fortnight rather than allocated from the traditional
waiting lists. Customers will be asked to let us know what homes they are
interested in. Every fortnight we
will send a copy of the current list of empty homes directly to our
customer's communication address. Following this Homechoice will advertise
the Select Homes property in the Citizen newspaper every fortnight for the
remainder of the pilot.
