Another Award for Tenants First
Tenants
First strives for excellence in the design of our housing developments,
and the
Murray Place
project at Portsoy recently received a “Highly Commended” award at the
2006 Aberdeenshire Design Awards.
Overlooking
the sea on the outskirts of the 16th Century Burgh, designing a
layout for the site required sensitivity and innovation.
You can find out more about this
development, including photographs and details of the design principles, by visiting our Portsoy Development page.

Furniture Project
Remember
how pleased and excited you were when you got your home?
Imagine
how you would feel if you had a home but had no furniture to put in it.
Sadly,
for some people, that can be a reality.
That’s
why we’re delighted to be involved in a new project to provide a mixture
of new and recycled furniture to new tenant members who, for a variety of
reasons, find themselves in this situation.
The
project has been developed by a partnership which includes Tenants First,
Castlehill Housing Association,
Grampian Housing Association, Langstane Housing Association and Instant
Neighbour, who are providing the furniture.
The
project is funded through furniture and wider role grants from Communities
Scotland.
We
are sure this project will bring huge benefits to individual tenant
members and give them a better chance to keep their tenancies going.
And what benefits our tenant members, also benefits the Co-op as a
whole.
If
you would like more information on this project please contact
Eleanor McEwan
at our Aberdeen
office on 01224 628400.
