Donside Urban Village
As part of the development of Donside Urban Village by Tenants First Housing Co-operative and Langstane Housing Association we are proposing to develop a run of river hydro power scheme.
Two archimedian screws will generate 1,237,840 kWh of energy per annum and this will result in a reduction in carbon emissions of 532 tonnes per annum.
The project has the potential to generate significant income which can be invested back into the community so there could be great benefits both for Tillydrone and for the new community in Donside Urban Village. It will also be an attractive feature which could attract visitors to the area.
